REGISTRATION FOR THE 2019-20 SEASON IS NOW OPEN

** Reminder: For 01 and 02 birth years, player MUST complete Safe Sport module in order to be placed on a Stars roster. **
** Reminder: All players MUST have completed A Step Ahead baseline concussion testing from Athletico within the last two (2) years before 1st practice. **
The DuPage Stars will hold tryouts on the following dates:
Sunday, August 18 > 12:00 p.m - 1:30 p.m. (check-in starts at 10:30 a.m; mandatory parents/players meeting at 11:30 a.m. prior to tryout)
Tuesday, August 20 > 9:20 p.m. - 10:50 p.m. (check group assignments posted by coach)
Wednesday, August 21 > 9:20 p.m. - 10:50 p.m. (check group assignments posted by coach)
Saturday, August 24 > 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (all players, equipment and apparel fitting after the session)
All tryouts will take place at the Darien Sportsplex. Unless directed by Head Varsity Coach Chaz Davis, all players are required to attend each tryout session. If for any reason you are unable to attend a tryout session, you must contact Coach Davis at email@example.com immediately.
Tryouts are conducted by the Stars coaching staff, supervised by Coach Davis. They are open to the public for observation. We ask that parents do not attempt to communicate with the coaching staff during tryouts, but may direct any question(s) to a Board member. Coaches are dedicated to finding the right fit for your player and for the team. Team assignments will be posted on our website as soon as practicable after tryouts are completed.
Our Varsity and Junior Varsity Blue teams play in the Illinois West Hockey League, their website is www.illinoiswesthockey.com. Our Junior Varsity White team competes in the Hayes Suburban Division, which can be found at www.ishl.us. League standings and player statistics can also be found at www.ahai2.org. * The goal of the A Step aHead Program is to educate the youth hockey community on concussion awareness, prevention and treatment as well as provide FREE baseline neurocognitive testing to AHAI members.
* A Step aHead testing is available for AHAI members ages 11-18. (12U through 18U/High School) from July 1 through November 1, 2019.
* Baseline testing is MANDATORY for Stars players and must be completed BEFORE the 1st 2019-20 Season practice.
*The test is valid for 2 years but a player will require retesting prior to the subsequent season if he/she suffers a concussion during the 1st year of the 2-year period.
