Dear Current and Future Stars Families:
The 2022-2023 DuPage Stars hockey season is just around the corner. We look forward to having you as part of our hockey family.
Conditioning skates are underway. Tryout dates are below:
As part of the registration process, please contact your local Athletico and register for baseline concussion testing in connection with the A Step aHead Program.
We are planning to have two teams for the upcoming season—Varsity and JV. Both teams will play in the Illinois West Hockey League. There will be two practices per week for each Varsity and JV. One practice will include skills training. Additionally, there will be a goalie clinic every other week.
Both the Varsity and JV teams will participate in two tournaments throughout the season. Tournament costs, excluding travel expenses, are included in the player registration fees. Both teams are currently scheduled to play in Nashville the weekend of November 4th, 2022. Any additional tournaments beyond the two contemplated would be funded in coordination with the team’s manager and are not included in the player registration fees.
In addition to our regular league and tournament schedule, we plan to schedule a couple of exhibition games against competitive clubs in the Chicagoland area. These exhibition games provide the Stars an opportunity to get “game ready” against well-matched competition with no additional fees.
Player Fees for the 2022-2023 Season will be:
Player fees primarily go towards expenses such as: ice time, league fees, and coaches’ salaries. The balance of collected fees are used for a variety of other club-related activities, and to keep an appropriate minimum reserve to remain a viable club into the future.
2022-23 Player Fees also include:
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We are pleased to announce that due to the overwhelming generosity of the sponsors from our annual golf outing, each DuPage Stars player will also receive a new DuPage Stars hockey bag free of charge!
